Here's some stuff I did working on a submission for Hunt & Gather's Exhibition 'Bill Murray: Chasing the White Whale." Which is on tonight at the Library Project in Temple Bar from 7PM.

The  other day I found an unofficial English copy of Murakami Haruki's Pinball 1973. This is a quick sketch of my impressions of the first fourteen pages. It's very Early Murakami. All the hallmarks such as casual dips into the surreal, animal-centered mini-missions, mysterious knowing nameless female characters and a sense of quiet futility.

Some speedpainting I did yesterday. The characters in the top picture are Niamh's lovely pirate couple. They're a lot of fun to draw.

Idle Hands

Hahahahaha;;;; Niamh told me to draw Kazuya x Lee from Tekken fanart. She even provided inspirational fic. I couldn't read that but look - I did the CUTEST FANART anyway. Idek.

I feel bad for posting rough stuff on my blog but I said I'd post this too. My first awful attempts at Lee and Kazuya. The fish says it all. This is why I resorted to stupid when I drew the pink picture. I couldn't think of any interesting composition of them that wasn't glaring or looking like they were about to face off. You can just play the games for that :/

LIIIIIIING. My old Tekken favourite. (Forget Jin already girl, it'll never happen.) I ended up drawing her when I realised how much I can't draw super built men.

My blog badly needs a redesign but instead I've opted to draw a picture of Niamh as a cueball/roughneck pokemon trainer because that's what her sprite is registered as in my pokegear.
I drew this on a pizza menu for a giggle but it amused me more than it should have so I drew it again.

Guilty sketch dump

Started trying to watch Peep Show in order. I think it's really a show you need to watch with someone or it can be kind of painful. Ah well. I drew this with Sakura fineliners - those pens that people use to ~ink their beautiful manga drawrerings~. I feel like there's a floaty-haired, long-lashed shojo manga goddess crying somewhere.
Next some sketches that I was mucking around with in Photoshop instead of doing film work :C

I was going to draw all three Final Fantasy X-2 girls but I ran out of time ;; So here's just Rikku. I'll try to get them done eventually...

So weak for pokemon

So I watched some Pokemon Best Wishes cause I'm all done with pre-Christmas work \o/ I... I. really like Dento ;; I was never one of those girls to have a Brock crush but FFFFF this guy dresses as a waiter (with a bowtie), has a grass type monkey pokemon (Yanappu is adorable and does backflips when he's happy) AND having Mamoru Miyano's voice helps A LOT.

I'm so easy and predictable with the kind of characters I like. I will do a post about this soon.
